Sangam Dairy visit for Bhahmana Kodur farmers' children
On Jan 26 2013, we had inaugurated the playground named "Pragati Bala Vikasa Kendram" in Brahmana Kodur. This playgroung was lovingly financed and built by our Gunturi family members for the sake of the farmers' children in the village. So every year, it has become a tradition to celebrate Jan 26th as the anniversary of the facility. This year, it happened to be the fifth anniversary, so we celebrated this special occasion by taking the children on a field trip to Sangam Dairy in Vadlamudi.on Jan 28th 2018. About 20 kids and 10 adults made it to the trip. A tour of the facility was given to the group, which was a very good learning experience for the kids. Later the children enjoyed walking around the beautiful campus and the special lunch that we arranged for them at the cafetaria. Many of these kids come from families that raise cattle. They sell the milk that
their buffalos produce, to Sangam dairy's collection center in the village. So this
field trip gave the kids an opportunity to see what happens after that and to see
how the milk gets pasteurized and various products like butter, ghee etc get made,
packed and distributed.This visit also gave them a glimpse of some employment
opportunities for future!
